Update regarding Road Closure Notice for LaSalle Line Construction

Please be advised that work will continue next week Monday, October 19, 2020 between the hours of 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, LaSalle Line will be closed between Oil Heritage Road and Wanstead Road.

Playground Equipment at Gorman and Marthaville Park August 11, 2020

The Township of Enniskillen will re-open Gorman Park and Marthaville Park playground equipment on Tuesday, August 11, 2020.

Patrons are asked to continue practicing physical distancing when interacting with others outside of their social circle.

Bring your own hand sanitizer to clean your hands frequently, and do not visit the playground if you are not feeling well.

Washroom facilities will not be available at the parks.

Municipal office partial opening as of June 22 2020

As of June 22, 2020 visitors will be permitted into the front lobby.  A new counter with plexi-glass has been installed that will allow items to be dropped off or picked up, or payments to be made.  Masks will not be mandatory.  No public access to washrooms will be available.

2020 Household Hazardous Waste Depot County of Lambton Schedule update as of June

The following link is for the upcoming 2020 Household Hazardous Waste Depot Schedule: Hazardous Waste Depot Update June 2020

The household hazardous waste depot is located at Clean Harbors Inc., 4090 Telfer Road, St Clair Township.  The hours open are from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Dates reschedule to:  June 20, 2020; June 27, 2020; September 12, 2020; September 26, 2020; October 17, 2020 and October 31, 2020.

Lambton Public Health regarding COVID-19

The COVID-19 outbreak level of risk for residents of Lambton County remains low.

Information regarding COVID-19 may change over time.  Updates to the Lambton Health Unit will update new information as it becomes available at: www.lambtonpublichealth.ca

Internet Speed Tests

Cogeco is planning to make application for Federal funding for broadband expansion.

Cogeco is encouraging residents to participate in an internet speed test which is located at the following link:  https://internetspeed.celertech.ca/

Updates for 2020 Water Customers

Continue to monitor your water consumption patterns and be aware of the potential for leaks.  Outside leaks can go undetected for long periods of time and a running toilet may consume several cubic meters of water.  This can result in a large water bill.  Township policy does not provide reductions to water bills due to leaks.  The property owner is responsible for all water that is calculated by the water meter.

Please ensure that your water pipes and meter are protected from freezingThe property owner is responsible for all parts of the system on private property which is beyond the curb stop/shut off valve.

New Water Rates effective May 15, 2020

$1.87 per cubic meter

$45.50 Administration fee per billing

.30 cents per cubic meter for hydro for customers in the LaSalle pump station area

$118.00 sewer charge per billing for customers in Oil City

Water Bills due dates in 2020:  February 28, June 30 and October 30, 2020.

Notices for Water Meter Repairs

Notices are mailed after each reading cycle to customers requiring repairs or replacement of a water meter or remote.  If you received a notice or receive a notice in the future, please contact the municipal office at 519-882-2490 to make arrangements for the specified repair or replacement.  Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
