Open Burn Permission
The municipality requires that owners of property in “agricultural areas only” provide notice of open air burning. Notification of open burns are then provided to the local fire departments and central dispatch headquarters. Farmers are encouraged to plan ahead to call the municipal office at least 24 hours before lighting the fire. Fires are only permitted during day light hours. The application for an open air burn is available by either calling or visiting the municipal office.
